Our Skeleton Crew

Mom and I were on our way to the Berean office by 8:13 am and only Beth beat us there. Today was TAG for most of the ladies, Bill and Joan are up at Mayo Clinic, Skip and Pat on a trip, Bruce was farming so that left a skeleton crew of Marvin, Leila, the two Shirley's, mom and I and today was a much bigger mail day than usual. We were kept busy all morning.

So busy I only took the time to take the 3 pictures above. We were able to finish with everything and were ready to leave for home just after noon. We still needed to stop at the Hanna City post office to drop off the 2 full boxes of Bibles heading out and about 70 studies and made it to that office with 3 minutes to spare before they closed for lunch at 12:30 pm. Very thankful for what we got done today.

Filling Boxes

Mom's car didn't have any air conditioning and it was predicted to be 94 degrees. We didn't have a lot of Berean mail so mom slept in today and I went to Berean myself.  Kathy was the only reader today. Skip was at the jail and Marvin was in Branson.

Beth came in to help but needed to be at her Bibles study group at 9:30 am.
Chuck and Shirley were put to work with labels and stuffing studies.
Below Vonnie, Shirley and Chuck were working on folding studies to fill boxes for later.
We were able to get other work done today since there wasn't that much mail. We still had 21 Bible requests and about 30 studies.

A Decent Amount

We had a pretty decent amount of mail this morning at the Berean office and were glad for everyone volunteer that arrived.  Besides about 80 studies that needed processed there were also quite a few letters requesting Bibles. We started work before 9:00 am.

We were thankful Marvin was back.

Below Vonnie, Kathy and Shirley are busy stuffing studies for the next sets going out.
Once those were done it was time to get the Bibles ready for mailing.
It was a really good morning. We enjoyed pecan pie and coffee for our break.

Key Lime

As yesterday was a holiday, the post office wasn't open until today to pick up the Berean mail. Each time Monday is a holiday we don't get a lot of mail for the week and today was no exception. Most of the volunteers were told they would not need to come in but we still had enough to get the mail processed this morning.

Beth, Vonnie and Shirley went right to work opening the mail. Skip was the only reader this morning and had all the letters read as I was processing the studies on the computer. Bill came in to help. He had ordered ink for the stamp machine and below he is searching his phone to find out when that was to be delivered as we were low on ink.
It turned out that the ink was being delivered today.
Each week Shirley takes care of all of the intermediate studies.
Once the studies were finished and the people requesting Bibles were entered into the computer we printed those labels and got the 22 Bibles going out today ready.

We were enjoying key lime pie and coffee by 10:30 am.
