We had 80 Bible request this week along with over 200 studies and had the volunteers here to get all the work done and processed.

Another Great Tuesday

Tuesday is one of my favorite days of the week. That is the day we get to go to the Berean office and volunteer with some of the best volunteers in the Peoria area. Well there are hundreds to thousands of great volunteers, but these people come week after week to keep this Bible study program going for prisoners all over the United States.  We had 77 Bible requests come in this week and not only were those filled we also processed over a hundred studies.

Not only do we get the work done we all have fun working together.  I really am thankful for this ministry. Not only does it help prisoners find salvation we get a small part in helping show them the WAY, the TRUTH and a new LIFE!  What an awesome God we serve and humbly give Him thanks and praise for His plan of salvation. Jesus didn't have to die for us, it wasn't nails that kept Him on that cross it was His love for US!

Special Visitors

We had another busy day at the Berean office but it really was a fun, good day getting lots accomplished and to top it all off we had 3 special visitors arrive at lunch time bringing goodies.

Stephanie brought her home baked cookies for our dessert along with her two helpers Elisabet and Israel. They ate dinner with us. Israel was fascinated by the small water bottles.  

Our morning was busy but there were plenty of helpers to help with the work. Below Shirley, Jan, Vonnie, Glenna and Bruce are all opening the mail that holds the studies. 

 At the other table Leila and Marvin were busy reading the request letters. We had some very strange requests today.

 Mark took the second computer and between the two of us we were able to keep up with the volunteers opening the mail. 

Robin had everything ready for stuffing the envelopes in the other room and as soon as the last study was processed each made their way into that room to keep working.

 Bill and one of his son's arrived with a van load of Bibles. We were almost out at this office so the timing was perfect. 

We enjoyed our lunch and fellowship together before cleaning up the office and heading out.  Another fun day with wonderful volunteers. A BIG thank you to all who show up.

Rainy Day

We had a very rainy start to the day and when we finished our work at the Berean office the rain was coming down hard and only 46 degrees outside. Thankfully the inside was warm and cheerful. We had lots of smiles and laughter from the start to the end of the work. Thankful to all who showed up and all who are willing to work.

After Easter

We didn't have a lot of mail today and more than likely that was because of the Easter Holiday.  We had plenty of volunteers so got not just the mail processed and the Bible requests filled, we got some other work done too.

I missed getting pictures of some of the volunteers but everyone that came really helped and had a good time doing the work. I'm very thankful for those who give of their time to come help keep this office running.  After lunch we were discussing how amazing it is to be able to do this work with the help of all of these wonderful volunteers

Happy Volunteers

We had a very good morning at the Berean office. Plenty of volunteers to get the work done by noon.
Mark came again and went right to work on the computer.

The readers today were Leila, Marvin, Dave and Kathy

 Kathy and Dave brought the lunch today and got all the letters read before needing to get lunch set up.

 The two Shirley's, Glenna, Jan, Bruce and Chuck opened the mail.

When they finished with processing the studies they went to work on stuffing envelopes and mailing Bibles in the other room.

The picture below was taken just as the last Bible was packaged up. Happy smiles to be finished for the day.

Thankful to work for such wonderful HAPPY volunteers.

They Are BACK

We had some of our long lost volunteers come back today and we were thrilled. We had a big batch of mail and needed each and every person who came. We really enjoy each other's company as we labor together.  The office was filled with happy voices.

We were able to process 68 Bible requests and over 200 studies this week. It is nice to see the program growing again.
