Done BEFORE Noon

I'm not sure if it was because we are all getting that much faster processing the mail or the many volunteers or a small mail day but today we finished BEFORE noon! We haven't been able to do that for weeks. Jeanette got a letter today. She grades a lot of Bibles studies and leaves notes on each one with just her first name signed. Well today a study came back with a letter enclosed for the grader Jeanette. She took it in the other room to read while she worked on labels.
We had a great group of volunteers and everyone just sat down and started working.
Above Bruce, Marvin and Chuck are opening and labeling studies on one table. At the middle table Jan, Shirley, Glenna, mom, Joyce and Eva Jean are opening mail, reading letters and processing studies.
At the other table Lila, Marvin, David and Kathy are all reading letters. Actually Marvin had been working on certificates but was heading over to read letters when the picture was snapped.
This office is such a joyful place to work. The chatter going around the room is usually uplifting and sometimes funny. David read a letter out loud today that was pretty touching. It was from a prisoner's mom, she wrote that her son had received a Bible from us while in prison, did all 50 lessons and acquired his certificate. He was so proud of that certificate. He had been released from prison but had  recently passed away. When she was going through his things she found his Bible but couldn't find his certificate and would we issue another. YES we did. Marvin sat right down to do it.
Each person in this room is so appreciated.

The last label was printed around 11:40 am, we finished up a few odds and ends and sat down to eat just before noon.

It was such a treat to be able to leave early. A big thanks to everyone that helped.
